Our History
2000 - Andersen Japan created its Legal Business Unit within Andersen TLBA group.
2002 - At the time of dissolution of Andersen, Andersen Legal was transferred to KPMG Business Assurance and formed LRM Business Unit; was also called KPMG Legal Japan.
2003 - KPMG Legal Japan was segregated from KPMG Business Assurance due to Sarbanes Oxley Act, which prohibited accounting firm and its related companies to engage in legal or investment bank related business. KPMG Legal Japan changed its legal form to become MDP Business Advisory Co., Ltd.
